Me First Mentality

I am back musing from the motel today. We are at East Hendersonville Baptist this week. The Lord has turned my heart to the story our Lord told in Luke 9: 59-61. When I first read them I thought our Lord is a hard task master. He wouldn’t let a potential follower go bury his  father or another say good by to his family. A closer reading reveals the true reason. As we quote it here notice the high lighted section. And He said unto another Follow Me. But he said, Lord, suffer me first to go and bury my father. And another also said, Lord, I will follow thee; but let me first go bid them farewell, which are at home at my house.  It is that me first mentality he puts down. Let us in 09 put to  death this me first mentality.
